This is a really good space heater if you have babies/small children. The safety features on this thing were thought up by a mom for sure! You can choose between low heat, high heat & fan only. If it senses the room to be at the temperature you set it to- it will automatically switch to just the fan, so the noise is constant. If something is blocking it from getting enough air or if it gets tipped over it will automatically shut off. Turning it back on is slightly annoying though. You must actually unplug it from the wall and plug it back in before it will turn back on again. This gets tedious if you adjust it a lot. The sensor that thinks it's been knocked over is a button on the bottom of the unit that is pushed in by the weight of the unit. So- if you pick it up even just to move it 2 inches without turning the heater off- it thinks it's been knocked over and you must unplug it from the wall & plug it back in before it will work again. Annoying- yes. But still worth having the safety feature for my babies. I think it's priced a little high, but not outrageous for the quality & safety features.

I really wanted to love this heater with all of its great features. However, after using it there are a couple flaws that I'm afraid are making this unit unusable for us. First is the display light. There is not an option to turn this light off and in our otherwise dark nursery it is a significant amount of light. If you have a kiddo that likes a nightlight you may like this feature but for us it's a downside. Second is when the unit's heating element turns on and off it makes an audible clicking noise. Loud enough to be heard over our white noise, and enough to make an almost asleep baby start looking around the room to try and find where the noise is coming from. Maybe other babes aren't as sensitive or curious but this is extremely distracting for ours. Can't say we're happy with this heater for our nursery.

Be aware that by default the child lock is not engaged. When the auto shut off is triggered the heater automatically resets to its default settings. My 20 month old has already figured out that he can tilt the heater to turn it off and then he can play with the buttons all he likes. If like to see the heater be reprogrammed since it's designed to be used in children's rooms.
- Primary use:
- Sturdy Construction
- Blinking lights!
- Cuts on/off constantly
- Difficult to set
- Draws a lot of power
We put this heater in our twin babies' room, but first we tried it for a few nights in our room. First thing I noticed as soon as I laid down in bed, the blinking red light had to stop, it was so annoying, it lit up our whole bedroom. So my husband covered the little light with black electrical tape. Who would want that in their baby's room?! Babies are so sensitive and I'll do anything to keep them asleep at night. Second thing, the heater cuts on/off constantly, which is kind of annoying, luckily it doesn't wake our girls. When setting the unit and pushing buttons it constantly cuts off because it thinks I tipped it over, so it takes me a good 3-5 tries to set this thing each evening when we get home. On the weekends, during the day, with the light on in their bedroom the lights will go dim/brighter because this unit pulls so much power! That's not good for our electric bill. Also, I put the little thermometer across the room, velcroed to the closet door handle so there wouldn't be any obstructions for it to get a proper temp reading. Then the heater will read "set temp 70 degrees" and "actual temp of 72 degrees". So that says to me that it realizes that it's not working correctly and still doesn't correct itself. What the heck? Wait a minute, this a VORNADO heater that's made for the most sensitive room in the house, the baby's room!!! And I paid how much?! So we've been looking for a better heater ever since we bought this thing, just been busy with the holidays and the girls' birthday. I'll be taking this thing back real soon.
- Effective Heater
I opened the box and wanted to love this product. Unfortunately it ended at the packaging. I turned it on and the remote did not work. It caused the heater to click on and off constantly because it loses signal. I even tried to set the remote next to it to no avail. I would recommend not using it. The good news is that it is a usable heater without it. My frustrations continued when I could hear a really loud click every time the heat changed in the room. You try to set a temperature and the heater apparently tries to hold to it exactly by clicking to adjust the temperature lower as soon as it gets hotter and higher as soon as it gets colder. This click happens literally every 60-90 seconds. If I can't even sleep with the click through the monitor, how can my baby? Once you get past the click, you then find out that constant on and off actually just keeps increasing the temperature. We set ours for 74 degrees and woke up only to see the temperature in our baby's room at 80 by the other thermometer we had in there. The bottom line is that it heats but a completely ineffective execution of the stated goals of the product.
- Convenient Use
- Sturdy Construction
Works perfectly to heat our nursery. Safe and efficient! Love it
- Sturdy Construction
- Doesn't come back on at the same settings.
- Shuts off while trying to set the controls.
We recently bought this little heater and while it is nice, it also has some flaws. With even the slightest tip, even while I'm setting the controls, it shuts off, making it kind of difficult to do. When you turn it back on it doesn't return to the same settings (even if the settings were locked), which is kind of annoying. Once the temp is set it will heat the room to within a degree or so, even according to its own temp reading, which is not entirely accurate, not the temp I set. I'm looking for a different, more accurate, easier to use, less expensive heater so that I can possibly return this one.
