I'm one of the last of my friends to have children but the first time I saw the Tripp Trapp I knew I wanted one when I had kids. I saw toddlers using it and loved how it sat at the table instead of separate from it. One of my friends said she wished she had bought the chair in a color rather than one that matched the wood of her dining table. I took her advice and bought the Green chair which looks great with our Black IKEA table. I cannot say enough good things about this chair!!

I'll admit that I picked this seat primarily for the aesthetics. My home is modern, and I needed something to fit that decor, but that would be functional for my little one. My son was 10mo when we bought the chair. We had some issues with the baby rail attachment, but other than that, it's been an awesome chair. I wish the straps were easier to adjust, but I love the flexibility it give my son to move around. He can reach for his sippy cup, and reach over to me or my husband at the table. Makes him feel like a big boy :)
I am looking forward to the chair growing with my baby boy. That was a huge selling point to me. If i'm going to spend so much on a highchair, it better last forever!! :)

We've bought one of these for each of our 3 children. We really like having the kids eat at the table with us rather than a highchair. Anecdotally I'd say this helps develop good table behavior, but does amount to some extra cleaning of your table initially. The kids, too, are quite fond of these chairs.

Great next step to a booster seat. The foot platform on this chair provides our daughter with increased balance and stability. She enjoys it much more than having her feet dangle from the booster seat. The best part is that the chair will grow with her for many years, and is strong enough to support a full grown adult (I tried).
