I'm one of the last of my friends to have children but the first time I saw the Tripp Trapp I knew I wanted one when I had kids. I saw toddlers using it and loved how it sat at the table instead of separate from it. One of my friends said she wished she had bought the chair in a color rather than one that matched the wood of her dining table. I took her advice and bought the Green chair which looks great with our Black IKEA table. I cannot say enough good things about this chair!!

I'll admit that I picked this seat primarily for the aesthetics. My home is modern, and I needed something to fit that decor, but that would be functional for my little one. My son was 10mo when we bought the chair. We had some issues with the baby rail attachment, but other than that, it's been an awesome chair. I wish the straps were easier to adjust, but I love the flexibility it give my son to move around. He can reach for his sippy cup, and reach over to me or my husband at the table. Makes him feel like a big boy :)

I am looking forward to the chair growing with my baby boy. That was a huge selling point to me. If i'm going to spend so much on a highchair, it better last forever!! :)

Comments about Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair (Walnut):

I saw these in the store when my 3 year old was a baby and thought "why would anyone spend that much on a highchair??" So I bought a (not all that cheap) traditional highchair and HATED IT. It was impossible to clean in all the little crevices, he didn't fit well in it, and it took up too much space. 2 1/2 years later, when the new baby started solids, I was dreading that chair. Since the baby has so many hand-me-downs, I splurged and bought the Stokke. It's easy to clean. Some of the reviews said the seat doesn't work well for little babies, but my 5 1/2 month old sits upright comfortably (with the baby seat attachment)and isn't constantly sliding down or falling over like in the traditional highchair. We were so happy with the quality that we got another (without the baby attachments) for my 3 year old and love that he can now get in and out of his seat himself (which he couldn't do safely with a booster seat) and we can all sit comfortably at the table as a family. The chairs also look nice in the dining room, which is a bonus. I expect to use these chairs for years to come - if not at the table, then as desk chairs for homework, etc. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the price and the fact that the straps are a little difficult to adjust.

Comments about Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair (Orange):

This chair was recommended by friends and I'm glad to have made the choice. We can all sit at the table together now. Further down the road, we'll be able to use the chair as an accent piece.

Comments about Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair (Red):

I bought this seat for my daughter, as we already have one for my son. It is great and grows with them. The only small negative is that we got a newer version, so the older baby seat doesn't fit with the strap. So we taken off the strap and will use the baby seat and the strap of the older version and we are fine again.

Comments about Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair (Aqua):

We bought this high chair because it was modern and looked good in our house and because it will last for years as a chair. We put our baby in it and he loves it. He's very comfortable. Since it's wood and a sleek design, it's very easier to clean. No place for food to gather easily and get disgusting. My only con is the aqua is a little more on the blue side than the picture, but it's still a good color.
