My son loves balls so likes this toy. He also likes banging the hammer on everything. He's only somewhat interested in the xylephone part.

Comments about Hape/Educo Pound And Tap Bench:
I enjoy that there are multiple aspect to this toy: music, learning, hand eye coordination, helping children with motor skills.
The wood is wonderful and it's compact enough to even take to grandmas.

Comments about Hape/Educo Pound And Tap Bench:
My daughter who was 10months quickly discovered the different sounds dropping the ball on the keys made and her favorite is letting roll down the top. like the compact design and that she can also separate the keys and the bench. Its like having 6 toys in one.

Comments about Hape/Educo Pound And Tap Bench:
Our son turned 8 months 2 days after the Christmas holiday and couldn't be more entertained by this piece. He takes it apart and enjoys putting it back "together". The mallet is a favorite but he also enjoys using the balls to mash it up. He is also learning to place the colored balls through their matching colored hole - this is great - he's learning about colors and shapes and sounds.
