I'm so in love with the new "OPTION BOTTLES" because it solved my leaky problem I was having as you can see from the pic below, my grandson and I always got so wet with formula dripping all over us, and then I spoke with Diane a wonderful lady and she worked with me til we came up with a solution and we did when she told me about the new "OPTION BOTTLES" and immediately the bottles NEVER leaked 1 time, and my refrigerator doesn't look like this picture anymore.
Thank you Diane for helping, and I'd recommend Dr. Browns "OPTION BOTTLES" to everyone, I LOVE THEM.

I bought the Options Bottle about a month ago. At first, I thought it was great. It was the only nipple my son would latch onto. Now, every single bottle leaks! I've tried labeling the ones that don't leak and thought maybe the ventilation system and nipple only truly fit the bottle it original came with. But with trying all the different combinations to prevent leaks all my bottles still leak. It's just a big mess and I'm so dissapointed because I do not have any other options in terms of my son latching onto a different brand nipple. And I have read all the solutions to a leaky bottle on the Dr.Brown's website and none of them worked! I'm truly disappointed!

Dr. Brown bottle user for the first time

By Danika

from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

We have bought Dr. Browns bottle for our child as this seems to be the one that's easier. The problem we have found is that the Straw vent as well as the vent attachment at the top has become black. Not for lack of washing and scrubbing that's for sure. I find this a huge problem as these bottle are not cheap and we can no longer use these pieces.

Leakers

By Abotic

The most basic function of a bottle should be to keep fluid in without leaking. I bought two packs of these for my one month old and two days in a row I have lost formula do to leakage from the cap. I have only hand washed these bottles and have another brand that I treat the same way without incident. The other issue with these is that the vent tubes aren't a universal fit. Some of them hit the bottom of the bottles pushing up the vent cap. I am dissapointed as I haven't had the same issue with the older models of dr browns. I guess they cut some corners when making these bottles. If you wish to uncomfortably feed you child with spilt formula on you and your child them buy these else choose a different dr brown's.

Leak terribly

By Kandy15

from Leduc, AB, Canada

I got these 2 weeks ago to try since my advent bottles nipples seemed to big for my 5lb baby, i was hesitant to spend more mony on bottles but figured i would try them. I like the bottle style and that it is easier for my baby to eat, but they leak terribly i am very disappointed in these for the price i paid i wish i could return them or try the original ones. Do not buy the Options bottles

Leaky

By Sarah327

from Laurel

I started using the original ones about 3 months ago when my son was 5 weeks old. They leaked all the time. Then i switched to options after a month. At first, they were great, no leaking, but now, 2 months later, they are starting to leak too unfortunately. I might switch to kiinde,îve heard good things and there are less parts to clean.

Great but....

By adbh

I was recommended these bottles by a family member however, she used the original bottles, not the "options". While I do find that there has been overall improvement of the spits up, burping and colic, the construction of the bottles seems to have gaps. When the vents are in, there is a fair amount of leaking. This is problematic when traveling with the bottles. We've worked around this by waiting until we're just about to feed the baby before putting in the vent - we dont even have them in when heating up the bottle and testing it. It almost seems like the water collects at the top of the vent and then because the screw on top part is not very thick, the milk leaks out. However, without the vents, I do not have this issue. This website does offer some possible solutions to this in their FAQ section which we will try however, their solutions do not address why the bottles would leak (unheated) while traveling. I lost around 200ml traveling once. I do like the option of using the bottle with or without the vents. I tolerate the leaking because of the improvement I saw with the gas / spit ups. But perhaps the original bottles are better as my family member did not have this same issue.
