In the past year, my 3 and then 4 year old son have been all over Europe and the Middle East with this carrier. It was the perfect way to let him nap while I enjoyed a quiet museum or just give him a rest from walking. I was able to stash "the pouch," as he calls it, in my purse when we weren't using it. With an older child it is very easy to get on and off without help-- I haven't tried this specific carrier with a baby. I was surprised to find how comfortable it was since we were used to an ergo with more padding. Somehow the structure is just as good at distributing the weight and the material is so much cooler (and also easier to clean.)

The chest strap fell off on the third time we used the carrier (and the first two times we used the carrier for about 15 minutes each time). I'm not at all impressed with this carrier. The straps that attach the chest clip to the carrier are not permanently attached to the carrier-they're held on by a cheap open tube of plastic (which is good for sliding the sheet strap up or down), but when it comes off the piping on the Boba Air, there is no way to re-attach it. Now I'll have to go through the hassle of getting it sent away and repaired of replaced.

    Comments about Boba Air (Blue):

I used a K'Tan wrap until my son was 15 pounds and then started using Boba Air - honestly, he probably fit in it pretty well at about 12-13 pounds. It is the most useful carrier because it folds up in its own pouch and can be kept in your purse, diaper bag or glove box - it is always there when you need it. For me it was so much easier to carry my baby in this when running into a store than it was to lug the car seat carrier around. I also have a Butterfly II carrier but it is just too bulky and heavy. I love how lightweight the Boba Air is - comfortable even in the summer months. I gave it four stars rather than five because with prolonged wear the straps can cut into your shoulders and become uncomfortable. I wish the straps were padded just a bit - other than that, this is nearly perfect.

      Comments about Boba Air (Blue):

I bought my Boba Air in 2012 when my 2nd child was a few months old. My oldest was 3.5y and I wanted to be able to carry him if needed but also have something versatile to use with my infant as well. I had had other carriers, but nothing was as convenient and simple as the Boba Air.

It is 2016 now, and my now 4 yr old can still be carried in the Boba Air if needed. My 7yr old can actually still fit it too b/c he is on the small side. I still have my original Boba Air, and I have recently started pulling it back out for tired days when I need to be out and about with my boys. The great thing about this carrier is that it sits perfectly on my hips and the weight is well distributed. I still love this carrier and I would recommend it to everyone!

        Comments about Boba Air (Blue):

My baby was 6 months old when I moved to Africa for half a year. This pack was amazing in hot humid weather. I used it daily and loved how I could easily stash it in my small bag when I wasn't using it. I have used it going grocery shopping, in the airport, for walks or hiking, and sometimes to help calm a fussy baby. I am a bit of a minimalist and this fit the bill. My baby is now 3 and I still occasionally use it even though he is too big for it. He is tall for his age and pushing the weight limit. The pack is extremely easy to wash. The pack is very well made and more comfortable than the Ergo. It has gotten a lot of hard use from me and it is still in amazing shape. I will say I didn't like how the hood was attached. My baby hated the hood, so I never used it, and it would flop around unless stashed in the one pocket, which made the pocket less useful because then it could not be zipped. I fixed the problem by attaching a very small snap to the hood, so I could roll the hood and have it out to the way and still have the full function of the pocket. I would highly recommend this pack to anyone.

We love the Boba Air. It allows me to get things done on days my infant wants to be held constantly. And my 2.5 year old loves to be worn as well.
